1. Who we are

Birthday Bash is a product of Zincan LLC, a limited liability company registered in North Carolina, United States (“Zincan”, “we”, “our”, “us”). This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard personal information when you use the Birthday Bash website, mobile app, and related services.

2. Information we collect

  • Account details. Name, email, optional mobile number, time zone, and birthday if you give us one, when you create an organizer account.
  • The birthday book. Names, relationships, birthdays, and optional notes you keep about people you care about. Each book belongs to one user; we do not merge books across accounts.
  • Guest and honoree contacts. A name plus a phone number or email, collected so we can send one invitation or plan request. After that, the contact detail is write-only: no screen in the product shows it again, including to the person who typed it.
  • Bash details. Date, time, place, guest list names, RSVP answers, and messages we send about the party.
  • Device data. IP address, browser, and app version as needed to run the service and diagnose errors.

3. How we use it

To run Birthday Bash: authenticate you, remember dates, send invitations and reminders, compute RSVP headcount, and improve the product. We send SMS only to numbers that opted in (you checked the box, or you texted START) or that an organizer provided for a specific invitation. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share it with processors who help us operate the service — currently hosting, email delivery (Postmark), SMS delivery (Twilio), and error reporting — under contracts that limit their use to providing that service. Other guests see first names on an RSVP page, never phone numbers or emails.

5. Retention

Organizer account data lasts until you delete the account. Invitation links expire. You can ask us to delete a record by emailing hello@birthdayba.sh.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to opt out of SMS (reply STOP). Contact us at the address above. See also our Terms of Service.
